We provide tax services for a variety of businesses including sole proprietorships, partnerships, LLCs, S-corporations, and C-corporations.

Based on historical data, the IRS typically begins accepting e-filed returns in late January. For the prior tax year (2024 returns filed in 2025), the IRS began accepting returns on January 27, 2025. The start date for the 2026 filing season is expected to be a similar date. However, for the claiming the child tax credit, the IRS does not begin processing those until mid February.

Yes, we offer tax planning services to help minimize your tax liability and maximize your tax savings.

Unfortunately at this time we are unable to offer loans based on your tax return. We hope to offer this service at a later tax year.

You will upload everything directly through the on-boarding form. Your documents will automatically be stored securely in your personal folder for that tax year. If there are any additional tax documents needed you can email them directly to qurkietaxassist@gmail.com

We’re growing Qurkie Tax Assist one referral at a time—and we reward the people who help make that happen.

For every new client you refer who successfully files and receives a tax refund, you can earn up to $50 per referral, capped at $600 per tax season.

To qualify, referred clients must list your name at the time of filing, and their return must be completed, accepted, and result in a refund. Rebates are issued by April 15, after refunds are confirmed. This ensures rebates are paid responsibly and only from finalized returns.

The individual who sends the highest number of successful, refund-approved referrals during the tax season may receive a bonus rebate of up to $1,000 as a special thank-you for their support.

This program allows us to grow sustainably while rewarding those who help others file with confidence.

Yes, we can. However, providing last year’s return helps ensure accuracy, carryover of credits, and faster processing.

Once your documents and form are complete, you will schedule a phone or in-person appointment. Most returns are finished shortly after your appointment, depending on complexity.

We can begin the process, but your return cannot be filed until all required documents are uploaded.

All uploads are encrypted and stored in a private, secure folder exclusive to your tax file. Only Qurkie Tax Assist has access.

At Qurkie Tax Assist we are only paid from your tax return. We do not request a payment upfront. We may charge for other services such as State Filings, Amendments and personal finance management.

Each client is unique and our services are based your needs.

For the 2025 tax year (returns filed in early 2026):

  • The Child Tax Credit (CTC) is worth **up to $2,200 per qualifying child under age 17.

  • If your tax bill is reduced to zero and you qualify for the refundable portion (Additional Child Tax Credit), you may receive up to $1,700 per child as a refund. IRS

Example:

If you have one qualifying child:

  • You could reduce your taxes by up to $2,200 with the Child Tax Credit.

  • If your tax liability is less than that, you may get up to $1,700 back as a refund — but only after the IRS releases refundable credits after mid-February.

If your return includes the refundable portion of the Child Tax Credit (the ACTC), the IRS is required by law to hold those refunds until mid-February. This is part of anti-fraud rules related to refundable credits like the CTC and Earned Income Tax Credit. IRS

That means:

  • Even if you file early (e.g., January), the IRS cannot issue any refund that includes the refundable portion before mid-February. IRS

  • Many taxpayers see deposits late February or early March, depending on direct deposit timing and return processing. (This timing isn’t guaranteed; it’s based on IRS rules and workflows.) IRS

You can check your individual status with the IRS “Where’s My Refund?” tool after filing.

You generally qualify if all of the following are true:

✔ The child is under age 17 at the end of the tax year.
✔ The child is your dependent and lived with you more than half the year.
✔ The child has a valid Social Security number issued before the return due date.
✔ The child didn’t provide more than half of their own support.
✔ You and the child meet IRS relationship and residency rules. IRS

Income limits may affect how much of the credit you receive, and some families qualify for the refundable portion (ACTC) if they meet earned income requirements.

If you owe Student loans or you think your refund may be offset for any government debt such as child support, student loans we suggest you call 1-800-304-3107 to find out if your refund will be offset.
